Does anyone know how to clean the oxigen sensor , on a lanos 1.4 , the first one in the outlet.
It only has one purple wire conected and it seems easy to unscrew, but after that, how could you clean it, if possible.

The symtomps are: dificulties to accelerate, light jerks until you get to an least 2000 rmps, after those rpms it works fine , ...

How to check myself
How can I check both IAT and coolant temp sensor. I mean using my own hands. Both are easy to unscrew, but how do I know if they are working well.

Update
Have had a look at the temp sensor , the thing seems quite easy to unscrew.
How could I check if it's working properly? Or should I just buy a new one . Doesn´t look expensive.
How much could it cost?
Thanks

I think the ECU tries to heat the engine all the time , with a bad mpg. I have basicaly the same mpg wit...

Weird throttle behavior , Lanos 1.4i year 2000
I've got a Lanos 1.4 date 11/2000 , it only has done 35000 Km. The problem is that when I accelerate, the engine hesitates for one or two seconds until it reaches a least 2000 rpm. It seems to have no power at all under those revs. When I change gears up (manual trans), the rev meter jumps a fev rev...
