I suspect it is some kind of double safety feature to prevent any static sparks developing especially when changing the filter.

Well here in the UK it is quite common to put baby seat in the front seat as long as it is rearward facing and the airbag is deactivated. It allows you to check on your child if you are on your own. Thanks for the reply but I was wondering if you can connect something instead of the airbag like a resister so the airbag indicator does not come on. :?:

Passenger airbag deactivation

OK, I have a Lanos that I need to deactivate the passenger airbag so we can put a rear facing baby car seat in the front passenger seat.
Does anybody know how to do this and can a switch be fitted so it can easily be reactivated.

Your help would be appreciated.
