My 1998 1.4 Lanos is UK spec and doesn't have the cam sensor and only 1 O2. It uses the older 12 pin ADSL.

Well I changed the fuel pump motor about 3 weeks ago and it seemed it was that causing the problem. it now runs as before although it is a bit of a pig to start. Sometimes I will try about a dozen times before it eventually splutters to get going, other times it starts in just 2 or 3 tries. And it se...

Re: OBD2 Codes

P0304=cylinder 4 misfire..probably that spark-plug wire is shorting out or the plug is bad ? If ...

Hmm,that makes me wonder if any other pumps will work for my application. What about Vauxhall Astra pumps from around mid-1990's? There are some pumps on ebay UK which are cheap and look like they MIGHT fit : http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VAUXHALL-ASTRA-MK3-FUEL-PUMP_W0QQitemZ170159580236QQihZ007QQcategoryZ...

Well we took the whole fuel pump assembly out yesterday and tested the pump on its own by dunking the bottom of it in a bucket of water and it squirted water about 6 feet away. I tried plugging the nozzle with my finger to see how much pressure was there, and while I could not stop it totally with my...

mezomaster wrote:the pump pressure should be about 5bar just right after the pump and about 3bar after the fuel filter (in the fuel rail) and if it only squirts for 4 inches then that means the pump is really weak as it should squirts too far and rough
Dodgy pump would explain a lot i guess.
