Sorry I didn't get back sooner. The Chevrolet built engines with DIS use a trigger wheel which is part of the crank. The only 2 deviations I'm aware of were the Rocketparts cranks sold over the counter for showroom stock racing with the quad 4, and the GM Performance Parts crank for current generati...

The U20SED has a unique ecm in the US market. The trigger wheel on the crank and the ignition strategy used with it is (AFAIK) a Bosch derived system which is unlike anything else GM uses here in the US. Because this system was only used from 92 - 94 in a few Pontiac cars, no one has taken the time ...

Haven't been around in a bit, but wanted to ask if this particular engine has a bolt on trigger wheel for the crank sensor (several from this family do). If so it's possible to replace wheel with "7 notch" style typical of GM 4 cyl engines and use cheap, readily available GM OBDI ecm, DIS ignition m...

Chris, E85 is not so common in the US as the internet might imply. But GM does make flex fuel vehicles which determine alky content of fuel and adjust accordingly. This strategy might work ok for you. Your car would be limited when running straight gasoline but that would reduce the amount of weight...

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but I haven't been around for a bit. so is the T20 measuring 216mm(+/-)? if so how does the 2.0 and 2.2 use the same piston and head and end up with the same copression ratio, with the 2.2 piston sitting 9mm lower? Whenever the rod length and / or block height is adj...

It gets right into burn patterns and combustion chamber dynamics.... it allows you to grasp how the flame front moves and how pressure is generated throughout the stroke Friends tell me Ricardo's book (The High Speed Internal Combustion Engine) is far better, although a bit old. Expect to pay more ...

No part numbers here. Only applications. SACHS is called out proudly. http://www.v-tuning.com/Sachs%20Clutches.htm I'm going to make some calls and see if I can locate a Sachs catalog. Shoulda mentioned the need for a hood. There's a lonely LeMans in a junkyard down the road. It's likely I could get...

Interesting choice of components. LMK if you decide to try the GET ecm reprogramming. Glad to lend a hand. Is that clutch for a flat flywheel? If so, mind giving up the source? I've found 2 parts sellers retailing a Sachs clutch but determining which flywheel is found in which model is a bit of a tr...

Umm that doesn't cure anything ...... hehe it would only mean that it would be a misfire on whatever cylinder you unplugged.. lol.. goodone Yeah, but that's a whole new problem to solve. And i...

How do the 2.0 or 2.2 'Woo rods compare to the Sunbird parts? Stronger? Faster? Able to leap small Hondas above 8500 rpm? I believe the 2.0 rods are 143mm center to center length. Are the 2.2 rods longer? I'm having a hard time finding many of the 'Woo engine's dimensions, so if any one has a source...

definitly recognize the name Slowej..... Chris, I don't care if you piss me off. I just might learn something, too. As long as we don't end up lobbing hand grenades across the border I don't think there's anything to worry about. I've signed up to a couple of forums with some good technical content...
