Re: Turns out Daewoos can run on diesel or kerosine, too
running on that other stuff has to void the warranty!!! No way you could pass emissions tests over here. Find me a Daewoo with a warranty still in effect lol If you were to do said conversion properly here in the UK and have it re-registered as running on alternative fuel it would actually be able ...

Yep, all original.
It's absolutely fine now with the stock airbox back on again.

P0108 fault code - MAP sensor, high input
This is the weirdest thing I've ever come across... A couple weeks ago I temporarily put a cone filter (with an admittedly questionable pipe) on while I took the standard airbox off to "operate" on it. While having the cone filter with a short, kinked pipe I got a CEL flash up after flooring the thr...

Re: Wish you everybody a happy new year.
Happy new year and stuff!
My resolutions are to keep the current Lanos running as long as possible as it transpires the head gasket is slowly failing and the thermostat is stuck open and I suspect the alternator may be having issues (unless it's just a bad belt)

There's a turbo'd Matiz on HMT: http://www.homemadeturbo.com/forced-ind ... ks-120820/
I've got a soft spot for a Matiz, especially a turbocharged one. Strangely, here in the UK the Matiz's hold their value better than any other Daewoo.

Re: nubira a16 timng kit differances ???
I think it may be age dependant - with most Daewoo engines there was bit of an overhaul (minor changes, but enough to make some parts incompatible as I've found out in the past) around 2000.
Usually 1997-1999 models would follow one setup and 2000-2002 models would follow another.

It's so sad that this forum is experiencing this demise.
I'm going to remain active for as long as possible and I'm still going to keep posting throughout my current turbo build.

Re: The longest Thread ever!!!
It's starting to look like I'm having a conversation with myself here... Got a question for the moderators/admin - is there an option to 'activate' or allow use of the forum through Tapatalk (mobile app for forums, etc) just to make it a bit easier to use while away from a PC. Edit: woohoo! Page 475...

Re: Lanos Catalytic Converters - Which to Replace?
I'm in the states and I am pretty sure I have 2 O2 sensors. I think what he is talking about is the resonator. that is before the muffler but after the catalytic convertor. Same here, both my current Lanos (2001) and my previous one (2002) had two oxygen sensors - only the 1997-2000 Lanos over here...

Re: Aftermarket Handles in a 2001 Daewoo Lanos.
My Lanos has Manual Windows. My Lanos also lacks the dash clock. Here is what i want to to. I want to put on aftermarket window cranks. How do i remove the Factory Cranks? I want to add the clock. Will my car have the 6 pin plug that goes into the back of the clock? I have already added Aftermaket ...

Re: The longest Thread ever!!!
Ignore my previous comments about trading in car parts - it's been a bit of a rough couple of weeks recently, some family issues etc. Looks like I'll be getting rid of the Lanos by April (not by choice) and will essentially be homeless. Unless you can call living in a caravan not being homeless, wh...

Re: Lanos Catalytic Converters - Which to Replace?
I, too, would like to question as to your certainty of there being 2 of the bastards. I know you Yanks have to put up with some stringent emissions laws in some states - and I feel for ya - so it might well be that there are indeed 2 converters. Perhaps a picture of the culprits would help - or some...

Sound bad, hopefully your luck will turn for the better. Being a citizen of the EU, I would think there would be some cheap options for you if your willing to move. What do you do for a living if you don't mind me asking ?? Being an EU citizen means dick these days, seeing as all other countries' p...
