I had the same problem and it was the positive from the battery to the alternator, bolt was hanging on by half a turn.

So next question is... do I need to drop the exhaust to remove the oil pan? I took a quick gander under there and looks like I might.

Sorry I have a 3 door 2000 Daewoo Lanos 1.6L DOHC / 5 speed man. trans.
The engine has a little over 30 000 kms.

Well got the Daewoo out of storage from a long winter's nap and well not 2 days on the road when the oil light came on???? I changed the oil and filter, reset the ECU and all was ok, then 2 days later the oil light came on again. The engine is purring like a kitten, no clacking, valves are quiet.......

I find the steering very loosy goosy when I am out on the highway? Is this what a speed sensor is for? If so is it a big job to change? Thanks in advance for any advice.
