Re: Tie rods replacement questions
Just to be clear, I'm not talking about the end that bolts to the steering, I'm talking about the length of the bar itself that's bent. The old ones have a very very slight arch of at the most 1/8 inch. You can see in the pic that the new ones have an actual bend that's much bigger. All of the tie r...

Re: Tie rods replacement questions
Well the new ones were def messed up, they're bent way more than the ones I took off the car. The old ones were almost perfectly straight. Tried to use the old inner ends with just the new outer ends and the threading was different on the new ones, so no good there either. Stay away from Autopropart...

Re: Tie rods replacement questions
Would that be your driver or passenger side? I'm in the states so i'd have to do it the opposite.

Re: Tie rods replacement questions
Anybody? I need to know soon while I can still return these. Tried taking them to auto parts stores and they didn't know and didn't have the part or pictures in their systems to compare to.

Tie rods replacement questions
2000 Lanos 1.6L So my tie-rod ends needed replacement. I saw a complete set of both inner/outter and everything on Ebay for $100 so I figured might as well replace them all and it would be easier to install this way anyway so I bought it. Ended up shipping from China and not California like it said ...

Re: Valve Cover Gasket
96351213 is the T-type gasket and you need to order two 96144621 D-seal plugs to go with it. The + type gasket is the Aveo type and already comes with the D-seals attached.

Re: Airbag light ... AGAIN!!!
So I read that you were going to swap airbag computers from 2 different year Lanoses. I was going to do the same on my Lanos but then saw that there are 3 different part numbers depending on your VIN range. Did you do it, and do you remember if the part numbers were different and if it worked? The o...

Re: Will any Lanos airbag sensor version work in any lanos?
Not from my understanding. It's called an airbag "sensor" but it's actually more of an airbag ECU. It's the reason a regular scan tool won't work, because it's a dif computer sending the code, again, from what I'm told.

Re: Will any Lanos airbag sensor version work in any lanos?
Yeah there are 3 dif part numbers depending on your VIN range, 2 of which are for the same VIN range. I've seen a few people comment about trying out different ones in their Lanos, but they never came back to post the results. The airbag light can be triggered by a bunch of things like a crash, but ...

Will any Lanos airbag sensor version work in any lanos?
My airbag light has been on for a few years now because of a loss of electric once and I'll be damned if I pay a stealership the $100 they want just to clear the code. I found a replacement airbag sensor from a Lanos with a blown head-gasket but according to Daewoous.com there are 3 different versio...

Re: Lanos suspension question
Yeah I got them eventually. I just got an adjustable wrench and really fine tuned it, turned it until it was pressing against the plastic interior, then used a 17mm wrench for the nut. Got it eventually. The lower bolts were actually a much bigger pain. 5 hours of Deep Creep and an impact wrench eve...

Re: Lanos suspension question
Hey I'm having a hell of a time even getting started on this. I can't get the top shock nuts off because the shafts that they screw onto also spin with the nuts and retainers. Is it supposed to? I can't get enough of a grip on the shaft to hold in in place enough to turn just the nut. Haha, the simp...
