Re: Extractors. 1.5l. Australia
Actually, now you mention it, mine must be an SMS..!!! kinda missed this part. I remember the yellow sticker under the hood. The better half has the chariot today, so my memory needs a re-flash!! I mailed them too yesterday, no reply as yet! we down to one car for economy reasons. Am doing doctorate...

Re: Fuel Pressure Regulator lag. A15 SOHC
Just a place I found the information readily available a click&Go for the pressure increase versus volume of fuel increased. Try this -> http://www.witchhunter.com/injectorcalc1.php4 The bottom of the page has a Fuel flow calculator, which, if you put in 43.5 as the so-called stock pressure at full ...

Design your own Extractor Manifold for you ride.
Ever looked at the Manifolds on F1, or Rally car engines, and how they really look neat, and business-like????, well you can make your own, but unless you have access to hydraulic pipe forming & bending equipment, it may not be as pretty, but will work close enough! As most of us view the Std Manifo...

Re: Extractors. 1.5l. Australia
Hmmm, just read the Ad again.... "Daewoo Lanos 1.5L EFI DOHC 1995 - 1997 A15MF Extractors" A bit confusing.!!! The Manifold flange looks like it may be for 16v head, as the port cut-out is elongated, which usually spells 2 valves per port!!, BUT.. I have seen them like that as part of the porting pr...

Re: Extractors. 1.5l. Australia
The 2.0l has different spacing between ports though.
I am considering making them an offer for a set though, I have to admit. The std GM cast iron item is not that good, but it does show signs of thought!!

Re: Lanos Oxygen sensor
Correct, its just easier. No thread/hole problems, no reach problems.... Still running replacement single wire in my Woo, and its covered 231000 kms now!!! Same old thing. Cheap car=less servicing=more problems in future. Service them well, and they'll last forever. Ya just gotta change the crank se...

Be sure the pin for the pulley is EXACT.
Notch-wise, and where the pin says it is. It may be sync'd up with the second cylinders, and not the first.
Get this wrong, and you can do serious damage to the engine.

Re: Fuel Pressure Regulator lag. A15 SOHC
Ok, seems good, BUT... One of the ways the manufacturers use to control fuelling is with the FPR. The pressure is a theoretical minimum, BUT CONSTANT for the engine to run with the injectors being pulsed at a certain rate. This can then be increased by increasing the pulse width time of the injector...

Re: Lanos Oxygen sensor
Theoretically you can use a 3 wire if the item is same thread etc. make sure it is using the same substrate as the sensor element, and then wire it in at 12v 10Amp. The problem with the Lanos item is it runs cold at idle, and the ECU reduces the mapping to ideal. All good until you boot it off the m...

Re: 1349 & 1498 sohc camshaft differences
I'd check the timing of them both first.
Lift is one thing, then duration, then overlap....
Another thing to think about is the pulley wheel. Is the indent pin at the same place on both of the cams.
