Yes, the gasket is the rubber part, but, the part I need looks like a half circle, and it sits on the edge of the engine. Look at the pictures if you dont know what I'm talking about.

I have seen that if you are not careful when pouring oil back into the oil fill when you do an oil change, oil can run down under the plastic valve cover and go down into the sparkplug hols. This makes it look like oil is leaking, even though it is not, it is only spilled oil going where it should ...

The problem that I have is not so much that the valve cover gasket is leaking, it is this rubber half circle piece on the right side of the engine. It is at the same level as where the valve cover gasket would go. For anyone who has changed their gasket, does this rubber piece come with the gasket? ...
