the site says that this cx20 engine is a familyII ecotec engine from gm anyway, what engines in the US can i put in those cars i listed besides the sunbird cx20 also, can't i put the suzuki reno/forenza engine in those cars? basically the same engine? why the hell would gm develop 2different engines...

according 2 wikipedia.com the ecotec engine is an updated d-tec/e-tec (d-tec is familyI(smaller version of familyII) and then the e-tec & current ecotec are all familyII)....so can't i drop in the ion redline or cobalt ss engine into the cars in the heading?
