Can the chocochip work on the Optra. It's basically the same engine.

Whatcha gonna do with all that junk, all that junk inside yo trunk? Imma get get get get you drunk, get you drunk off of my junk.

Ahhhh that cried out for that.

Back on topic: VERY NICE. I never truly appreciated the work that goes into engine swaps.

Now I know my C20LET won't be straight (probably). :(

i am not following...

the C20LET will be a direct swap on a lanos as far as the mechanical work... you would have to work on the wiring to make it fit the car but as far as i know it is not a hard job if you know what you are doing

on a nubira it is different as the engine mount layout is different and the C20LET won't fit... you only have the T20SED or T22SED to swap in

it doesn't matter what year your car is... if it is a lanos then the C20LET and C20XE are available options... if it is a Nubira then those engines are not an option

the car is running on the OEM ECU for the 106 engine up till this moment... we actually tried the 2.0 ECU for a couple of days and it gave us nothing but worse fuel consumption

i am not sure about the muffler but we had to replace the whole exhaust... not sure if it was blocked or just too small for the 2.0

as for the tranny: yes... the car is still running the stock D16

i can't tell what kind of ECU the car have as i don't have access to it right now but we didn't change the ECU... it is still running the stock ECU that used to run the 1.6 DOHC engine

it is worth mentioning that we tried the ECU of a 2.0 DOHC engine for a couple of days and it was not any different from the 1.6 DOHC ECU as far as performance is concerned
