Delphi goes under....

so the us division of delphi has filed for bankruptcy...

i'm curious to see how this will impact the newer daewoos. i know that the non-us based delphi groups aren't in trouble, but will that limit the availability of parts for us (the newer daewoos that is)

dunno if it relates to this but Daewoo stopped selling cars (brand new) in Australia a couple months back. Now you can only get second hand ones that were already here.

Holden is the controller of the GM shares in Daewoo..... I've heard that they don't want them to compete with their own line of vehicles.

I don't think there will be any impact on us for Delphi parts.... most of the Daewoo stuff comes directly through Korea to the US/Canadian parts warehouses.

From what I understand, this only affects US plants, and not the overseas facilities, where the parts are build.
