Lanos automatic and fixed speed

hi guys,,
I have lanos 99 automatic, when i drive on any speed say ( 40 km) and remove
my foot from the gas badal , the car continue on the same speed (40) and it doesn't
decrease until i push the break badal,

is this normal??

Well i don't know about the automatic lanos, but in previous automatics i've driven some do that and some don't but i oiled the accellerator and cleaned the cable and throttle assembly and didn't sorta stick anymore. But i'm not really sure about if that's normal with auto lanos. maybe there's lots of junk on the cable or it's really dirty and sorta sticking. Sorry not to be much help.
