I've been noticing alot lately, my car '89 Le Mans LE 1.6L auto, it'll idle fine, put it in drive no prob. I'll slowly take off then around 2k rpm it stalls up to 2.5k ~ 3k rpm then it'll take off. any idea why this is happening? I'm not complaining, or could it be as simple as needing to change my air filter?
I wish I could help, mine did the same thing and that's when decided to put the turbo sunbird motor in. I remember one o fthe last things I did the ingition module but if that where your problem the car would just die. from the sound of it it's eithere a fuel issue or a TPS issue.
