Grand Turismo 5 setup

Post by PrecisionBoost »

Well, in northern Canada there is little to be done for racing in the long winter months, so I fabricated myself a GT5 cockpit for some fun in the winter.

My friend owned a tuning shop up until a few years back, these are custom made real leather racing seats.

My friend is 6ft 2 and 250 and he brought in these seats for himself and I found them very comfortable

They are Canadian made by a company that manufactures seat for all kinds of applications from motorbikes to tractors.

I love them because they are made for someone of "reasonable" size instead of a guy who weighs 120lb at 5ft 3"

They were supposed to go into one of my Opel's but the factory Recaro's have a really weird setup where the mechanisms are way up underneath the seat.

As such when I put these seats in with the adapter my head was nearly at the roofline :(

My cost on them was about $350 a piece which is pretty good considering they retailed at a bit over $500 a piece

I figure I will eventually find a home for them, so for now I decided to use one for my GT5 setup.
