2001 Leganza OBD support

Post by earlybirddisco »

I bought this scanner http://www.amazon.com/Crescent-OBD2-Mul ... 158&sr=1-1 to use in my RHD 2001 2.0L Leganza CDX but it wont connect to the vehicle. Can anyone confirm if this vehicle is OBDII compliant?
Thanks.

If it is OBD II compliant you must find a label "OBD II certified" somewhere.

The Vehicle was imported from Korea for the Caribbean. Its a Right Hand Drive and has no such label which I suspect is only atached to vehicles for sale in the USA. The engine is a C20SED another site says it should be OBDII and the scanner says it supports the protocol but I am unable to connect. I have tested the scanner on another vehicle (not daewoo ) and it works. I unmounted the obd connector and all wire seem to be ok. If I was to get the numbers off the ecu box would that help?
Thanks.

Maybe someone (not me) on this board could answer with the help of ECU number.

Take the following with reserves since it's only my intuition: OBD II management have two oxygen sensors, one pre-cat and one post-cat. How many O² sensors do you have.

Also take note that some Daewoo's (around 2000-2001) have a OBD II shaped connector but with ALDL protocol like on my Nubira
