Australian 2000 Lanos - Does is have an OBD-II connection?

Post by Nach0 »

Hi all..

I know that in the US these were made compulsary, but i dont know if the same applies to the australian model, I have just found this:
http://www.devtoaster.com/products/rev/
which uses this:
http://devtoaster.com/store/index.php/e ... helmdp0cd1

to connect to the 'standard' OBDII connector to make my iphone into a tacho, speedo.. everything-o..

but I have no idea if the AUS model of the 2000 woo has these, or where to look for one..

does anyone have some insight on this?

Thanks muchly!

Here is a good starting point: http://www.obdii.com/connector.html .

Look under fuse cover in habitacle too.
Here is my Nubira 2000 connector (LH driver). Altought it's a OBD2 shaped one it's in fact ALDL protocol. Look at contact position.

On the 2000 lanos it is just underneath the dash.

Put your foot on the clutch and then look where your knee is and you will see it :D

I think its OBD1 though...
