Autometer digital tach signal wire??

Hi guys I just purchased an Autometer digital cobalt tach and I was wondering if anybody knows what wire the signal of the car's tach is.

Anybody knows let me know,

Try asking existence...he has the first thread in aftermarket and highperformance section...just pm him...he has an optra turbo so I'm sure he's had to find that wire.

It depends on what kind of signal your tachometer is looking for. You can try the "engine speed signal", and if that doesn't work try either of the "ignition coil timing control". My AVCR reads rpm from the coil, but not all gauges can use that signal.

Hey Jason well mine does too, well the gauge does :)

But can I use which from the two?

And where on the plug is it and what color wire.
