Hey, just came across a pretty good write up on the biggest brake setup that's a straight swap into the Lanos. This if from a Saab 93 Viggen or 95.

I currently have 900/93 disc brakes on all four corners and 15" wheel fit tight. 16" wheels are required so I'm upgrading to 16" wheels from a Cadillac Catera in prep for the newest swap.

This only highlights the front upgrade but the vented rear disc setup is a direct swap as well.

are saabs common in the US? there are hardly any here

Extremely common. They have the loyal following here that I'm sure Opel owners enjoy in Germany. ...so there's quite a lot of support from the performance industry.
