Question about the Leganza MN4 automatic transmission

Post by AntDX316 »

Maximum engine torque: 190 lb-ft (260 Nm) (MN4), 220 lb-ft (298 Nm) (MN5)

Maximum gearbox torque: 325 lb-ft (440 Nm) (MN4), 325 lb-ft (440 Nm) (MN5)

maximum engine torque and maximum gearbox torque

say i do 325lbs does that means the gearbox can hold up to 325lbs but wont engage next gear with 190+lbs?

Where are you pulling this info? I know I've seen these kind of specs before and usually the max engine torque was the highest torque that the motor mated to that gearbox could produce. Max gearbox torque was the actual capacity of the gearbox.... I'm surprised the auto box is rated for that much torque...... altho why does it say "gearbox"?

Yeah we say gearbox here in the uk/ireland.

You get looked at funny if you say you're transmissions an f20

Instead, it's, ' I've an f20 box strapped onto it '

:)
