2/5/08... Payment function update.

We have to give Jonathan Nokes for bringing an issue to our attention. We had tried a in our paypal function that made many orders unable to be processed that is now corrected. Sorry to anyone who's order may have been rejected, the site is fully functional again.

Hey everyone,

Sorry to say that I wont be around as much as I used to be. I'm not going anywhere it's just time to spend hour hours in the shop than online. I'll still be checking messages in the mornings and at night but no more being on all day.

no worries, it's actually a good thing now. things are taking off and I need to do better to keep up.

cheers.

Considering a name change

Post by gse_turbo »

well I think I'm gonna want to change the name of the company. Daft Art is great because it's uneque but I think something closer to my name will be better in the long run.

I've been considering "Gary Holand Performance"or just "Gary Holand" or "Holand Performance" if there is not already a large company in the Nederlands using the title.

I need some feedback from you guys though so plese jump in and let me know what you think.

thanks,
Garrett

As always I will be dead honest and pull no punches .... I have always thought "Daft Art" was a really strange one for an automotive aftermarket performance company.

Of the choices given I'd go for Holand Performance.... it's not bad as long as you don't find someone else with that name.

Hmmm.... throwing out ideas off the top of my head

GHP
GHOP
Holand turbo systems
Holand fabrication services
Colorado turbo systems
High Altitude performance
Garrett-Holand turbo

GHP.... sounds too much like a Human Growth Hormone :)
GHOP.... sounds too much like IHOP ( International house of pancakes )
High Altitude performance..... sound like you sell marijuana or snow mobile parts
Garrett-Holand turbo.... ummm... I think Garrett-Honeywell might have a problem with that ;)

I spent about a month trying to decide a name for my company.... I made a list three pages long.... and to my surprise 90% were already taken in Canada or the USA

In the end I settled on Precision Boost Systems because I want to design a boost controller, engine management, turbo management, fuel regulation system that all work together to provide a very precise control system.

Then a month after getting the name registered I came across Precision Turbo ..... don't know how on earth I missed that one... oh well.

Here are some somewhat related automotive companies...

Here is a close one... but not automotive
