So the 1.6 made 184 hp? that was with more than just cams then? What would it make with just the cams...and how would they work with a turbo build...would stock be better for a turbo build?

well I've been looking for an inexpensive Lanos to buy and test with for a while now with no luck, once I find one I can get solid numbers.

turbo cams and N/A cams are very different. say compared to a the stock cam, a turbo cam has higher lift and a quick duration. compared to a stock cam, an N/A cam has little to no lift added and adds more duration

You want my spare 1.6 block...all you'd need is a head to finish the engine since I have the entire bottom end? You could go ahead and get an engine built and tested before you get a lanos that way...and it'd be cheaper than a car.

I may have to do that regardless, I like to have a couple spares, that way I can build complete motors and try and seel them.

I'd still want a lanos though, I like the car and the platform they are built on and it's only right that I drive what I sell... my lemans doesn't look like it will be ready this season.

... so you have a complete bottom end? what do you want to seel it for?

cams are available fro the 1.6. we go by a set profile for turbo applications but if there is something that you are specifically looking for than we can have custom grinds done as well with no extra charge. the cam sets are $650.00US plus shipping.

what about a 1.6 n/a aveo? can the cams be made to work on it, if so , how much of a gain can one expect?

the cams are available for the 1.6 Aveo, I strongly recommend head porting to go along with them. I will be porting a 1.6 head and posting dyno resaults and then doing cam after that. until then I can't giva any solid numbers.
