Idle learn procedure?

Whats the use of this? if i don't do this what will happen. based on the users manual, it doesnt say that you use this procedure. pls enlighten me....

Well, it's not stated in the user's manual 'cos there is no reference in it about removing/disconnecting battery/ECU/IAC or the like.
Purpose of "idle learn procedure" is to let the ECU learn in *one session* all the things it need to hold a correct idle speed upon different engine loads.
To my (limited) knowledge you don't risk your engine if you don't do it. ECU will learn whenever things occurs. It's like the "OBD Driving Cycle". It can be done in just 20 minutes driving when following the procudure or it'll take an indefinite time otherwise.
