Whats the Head Bolts torque for my Woo?

Post by GsiTurbo »

Hey guys,

I am replacing the headgasket on my winter beater 1.6 Lemans, and I need to know the head bolt torque specs. I believe this is similar to the 2.0l engine being initial torque to certain lbs, then 3X60 degrees and finally 30 degrees. Anyone has the Lanos/Lemans manual to confirm?

Thanks!

Tom,

I just checked my lanos manual for the 1.4, 1.5 sohc and it says:

Cyinder head bolts: (Camshaft support housing & cylinder head mounting bolts)

2 turns of 60 deg and 1 turn if 30 deg (60+60+30)

25 Nm (18 lb.ft)

hope this helps
