here is an update

New Cometic .060 head gasket is instaled
i will take compression test later

Turbonetic Manual Boost Controller installed too but the car is still @ 4psi
until dyno session

covered the turbo header, wastegate dump tube and intercooler piping with Thermo Tec

instaled AutoMeter EGT gauge

bad news ...
when the car ran 14.7@94mph it had an engine code Los TPS signal, it caused the auto tranny
to change gears roughly but it helped on getting faster gears shifts
i solved the problem fixing the TPS sensor plug
the problem is that now the gears slip when shifting
like if the tranny couldnt hold the power

good news ...
manual tranny swap coming soon .. if i cant solve the shifting problem

Boost controller yay more boost! Be sure to show us some dyno numbers

Do you have any pics of the wrapping you did ?

EGT Gauge is good, but even more important is a wideband O2 if you don't already have one (I can't remember).

Manual transmission is the way to go...... alot more fun :)

can anyone tell how that is in x.x:1 form ?

i will get pics soon and post them

a compression 'test' doesn't relate to the compression ratio. a compression test will only tell you that your combustion chamber is sealed.

you have to use a formula with all the specs from the motor (bore, stroke. head cc's, piston cc's,...) and that will give you compression ratio.

i would have the no. for you but i would need someone with an extra 2.0 to measure the factory 'deck volume'.
ask chris if he has a t20 short block that he can measure deck volume at tdc. we can go from there.

There is a lot of math involved with calculating exact compression ratio... You can get a close estimate by using a good online calculator such as this one:

http://www.csgnetwork.com/compcalc.html

But it would be difficult to find the compressed gasket thickness. It's one of those things that should be done when the engine is still apart so your engine builder/machinist can get the engine cc'd for exact nuumbers :)

Here's a link for some general compression test numbers that correlate with compression ratio (for hondas though, but I find it fairly accurate for any other engines): http://www.xenocron.com/install/Pre-Tuning-Check.htm

Compression ratio calculation... very roughly

(CC above the piston)+(cc of the cylinder)
-------------------------------------------------
(cc above the pistons)

bare in mind you really have to take into account things like the cc's in the head gasket as well as cc's in the ring land grooves, cc's in the actual head itself and the piston dish etc when adding up the "cc above the piston"

What ? Were you there at the dyno with Nubira2.2? Any dyno graphs or more info ?
