C20NE (2.0 8V) turbo manifold

Post by Rodd1s »

found this on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VAUXHALL-C20NE-2- ... 346wt_1025

that flange looks far too similar to the A13/A15 8v lanos engine exhaust manifolds....

There is a difference between the 2.0L 8V and the A13/A15 engines, the pattern looks similar but the spacing of the ports on the 2.0L are different than the 1.6/1.5/1.4/1.3

I have three 2.0L 8V turbo manifolds, two stock GM turbo, one aftermarket branch manifold from Brazil and I have one 1.5L 8V and one 1.6L 8V so I can verify that what I'm saying is correct.

Thanks for the link.... that's the first 2.0L 8V turbo manifold I've seen in the UK

One could theoretically bend the manifold to try and make it fit, but your probably better off welding a Honda B16 manifold to a flange for a 1.6/1.5/1.4/1.3

Flange is about $100 and manifold will be around $150, labor is about 30 minutes for a welder.

how far off, roughly, is the spacing between the 2.0 8v and the smaller 8v exhaust manifolds?

i hav seen these manifolds for the 1.6 8v vauxhall engine (vectra b - C16SE, i think - not 100% sure) and i measure the manifolds on one of them and its a direct fit for the lanos 8v.

wish i'd found this lot when i did my turbo... i'll do it again one day... maybe nxt year

What about compability with the 2.0L (u20sed) Would these 2 manifolds fit?

the 16V engines hav a different flange/pattern, but i think the spacing between ports should be about the same. so you could well weld on a different flange to make it fit.
