Very cool swap!!

Its the LSJ motor from the Cobalt SS Supercharged. 2.0L 16V all aluminum American ecotec. Rated for 205hp at the crank from the factory, but most people are seeing more like 215-220whp on the dyno, so they're really underrated.

Cool. Got threw by how the engine sits, looks like you can only see one of the heads off a v6.

And those engines came standard supercharged? :smt104

We need something like that over here.

haha that "one head" you see is the supercharger (roots type). Not all are supercharged. The base motor for the Cobalt is a 2.2L n/a motor. They also have a 2.4L n/a available for the "Cobalt SS" (non supercharged). To my knowledge they have already dropped the supercharger from the 2.0L motor and are going with a turbo instead. :)

Lol the supercharger looks like the inlet pipes on a v6 actually. It's really weird, but the more i look at the more i see different form a v6. Just looks like one at a glance. If it was a v6, it means the second head would be pretty much vertical xD

Still though, we need guys that have the cahonies, and the money, for stuff like that on here. It is a daewoo at heart afterall.

Would he need to get custom shafts to fit the small spline struts? Or get bigger hubs for the struts to accomodate the larger gearbox shafts? What gearbox do these come with standard?
