How To: Install manual boost controller

Post by john_trickle »

I thought id put this here as more people who will be turboing the daewoo might want to know how to install has some pics which helped me alot.

I bought a power up boost controller so the rest would be the same im sure.Indroduction to power up.

The PUBC is the lastest and most effective instrument of its kind, this instrument is used to gain more HP from a turbocharged vehicle. The PUBC simply increases BOOST PRESSURE quickly and effectively.

It can be used in a Street, Strip or Race application, simply adjust the Top knob Anti-Clockwise for decreased boost and Clockwise for increased boost.
( Should be used inconjuction with Boost Gauge )
It can be used on all turbocharged vehicles with an internal & external wastegate or factory fitted electronic boost.

The PUBC is a must to any turbocharged vehicle, as it will create great amount of power at a very cost effective price. The PUBC is so accurate that with one turn you receive 1psi of boost. It also has a locking feature to stop over boosting or under boosting.

INSTALLATION GUIDE

1) Find the waste gate actuator.Note, it is usually mounted on the turbocharger.

2)Identify the pressure hose running from the postive side of the turbocharger to the waste gate actuator.

3)Take off the pressure hose fitted to the waste gate actuator and insert it onto the left chrome nipple of the MBC.Note, that the hose is tightly clamped and secured onto the MBC.

4)Grab an extension hose and fit it onto the right chrome nipple ob the MBC.The nipple with the pin hole.
Fit the other end to the waste gate actuator.Note, secure it tightly.

5)Mount the powerup MBC T2 to a secure and compact area of the egine

NOTE: Installing the powerup manual boost controller backwards will prevent the valve from performing properly.Make sure the pin holed chrome nipple is in the same direction as the inlet supply pressure from the turbocharger.

CAUTION: Failure to tightly secure the manual boost controller's nipples to the pressure hose can result in the disconnection of waste gate acuator supply pressure. If this occurs the turbocharger boost pressure can rise to a high and dangerous level and could result in severe engine damage or failure.

*before making an adjusment make sure the boost dial is fully closed - anti-clockwise.

*speak to a specialist before you make any adjustments to your PU-MBC.

*setting boost pressure beyond your engines capabilities could result in engine faliure.

*balistik motor sport recommends that our boost controller is adjusted by a qualified mechanic.

*balistik motor sports int recommends that a boost gauge be fitted permantley to the vehicle.

*balistik motor sports int recommends that boost pressure is set using a dynamometer.

*balistic motor sports int recommends that right air/fuel ratio is conducted 1 boost set.
