How To: Check oil level in manual transmission

Post by MMamdouh »

you need to go under the car and look for fluid level bolt on the side of the tranny, it is right besid the point where the right shaft is mounted to the tranny case.

remove this bolt and insert your finger and feel the tranny fluid, it should be right at the bottom of the hole or ekse you will need to add some fluid. be carefull not to get your finger jammed into the hole.

you can add fluid from the plug on the top of the tranny case (reachable from the engine bay), the plug is a plastic bolt next to the shift mechanism and covered with a black half spherical cover.
