c20GET used parts.

Hello, excuse my english but i'm French :?
-I'm login in "blitz-gsi", a french forum for Opel/Vauxhall but in France, no parts of the C20GET are on the market :cry:
-I need this parts (c20get), or adress for my research in USA (used parts, specialist etc...):

-Pistons and ring.
-Complete cylinder head (with cameshaft, valves, distributor...).

-Possibility to exchange with C20LET or C20xe parts (ask me you want) if you need.

Hello.

if you are looking for aftermarket parformance products than I can help you with pistons (complete with rings and pins), connecting rods, performance fasterners, cam... pretty much anything you want to buy.

as for the complete header. the US spec head is not as good as the European head. there were no emissions requirements in Europe in the 80's. look for a 2.0 8v head from there.

The intake manifold was better here, I would have to look in the scrap yards but I know they are out there.

let me know if you have a list of things you are looking to buy and I can put together a price list.

I disagree on the C20GET manifold, it was proven on the older LT3 site (devoted to C20GET) that the naturally aspirated MPFI manifold was better than the C20GET manifold. ( flow bench analysis by one member )

Other than having the word "turbo" as part of the casting of the C20GET, it was nothing special, in fact it had a smaller throttle body than the factory naturally aspirated MPFI version ( the MPFI is a direct bolt on for the C20GET manifold )

Most guys trying to make decent power with the C20GET had to modify the stock manifold to reposition the throttle body as you would lean out on the first two cylinders due to throttle body position.

I'm working on two C20GET's at the moment, both will see the factory C20GET manifold scrapped for a custom made one.

As far as the cylinder head, I'm not sure why you feel the C20NE had a better head than the C20GET, I'm not aware of any significant differences between the two from a quality standpoint.

If your planning to run the 8:1 compression then I believe the C20GET head might be required to get the correct compression.

Personally, I would prefer to use C20LET rods and Pistons, the C20GET are too low of compression and are a press pin design instead of the floating pin of the C20LET/C20XE.

The forged followers are obviously a good upgrade (assume gse_turbo can get them easily, if not I have a box with part number)

Upgraded springs are a pain to match, but certainly help with valve float.

I'm not sure of the differences between Cam specs on the C20GET and C20NE, but the C20LZ cam found here in North America has higher lift than the C20GET.

C20GET had larger injectors, but given most C20GET engines are now 20+ years old it would be far safer to purchase new injectors

-I want to run with 21/22 PSI and i hope 350hp, and the standart C20LET rod has not good (it is the max power for this part).
-For this moment, i have C20LET crankshaft with H steel rods in C20NE block (with oil nozzle for rod), i dont know the GET rod hare press pin design :? , and my H rods is for floating design (for LET pistons).
-I disagree the standart C20let pistons on 8v head cylinder, because 4 valves design provocate "hot points" and turbulence flow but anyone confirm this point of view. :?:
-My research to compare GET head cylinder and NE, the result is a difference betwen exhaust valve and chamber design, it's what i found the GET part.
-I have custom manifold and no use standart NE. For cam, i use the C20SEH part ( better crossing for turbo, NE=58 and SEH=48.6) with probably reworking stage (depend to the final distribution).

-What the best set up for my pistons?
-The standart NE head is good for my project or is imperative to work with GET part?
-With LET standart pistons and 8v head, i have 8.1 compression ratio or more? (it's possible to run with 8.5 but 9 is so hight) for my configuration.

not to split hairs but I never said the GET manifold was better just the US spec manifolds were better than the European. I suppose I should have been more clear. yes those familiar with the 8v motors know that the N/A manifold is the one to use.

I agree about not using 16v pistons with an 8v head.

I make custom pistons made by Wiseco and they are them built to the qualities. I can have a set of pistons built to any compression ratio that you like (I think 9.0:1 gives the best results), same with the bore.

all the pistons I have made include several upgraded features like "dry-lube' skirt coatings. Ceramic coated tops is an additional option.
