Rear parking sensors

NGK iridium sparkplugs and wires
K&N filter

Audio:

- Hertz Audio speakers
- Dynamat

Very nice. I like that model of the nubira II. Wat are your future plans for the car?

Thank you for the appreciation !

Since I have the 1.6L version I'm thinking :
- either to swap the engine with a Legnaza one or something else (Opel C20XE or C20LET) - not sure each one will be the easiest to bolt in, or
- to put an Intimidator turbo kit - still not sure if there is one for this 1.6 engine - maybe this part will be the easiest - I see a lot of people here trying to swap their engines - but they have a lot of troubles doing it ... maybe a turbo kit will be easier

You could put the 2.0 nubira engine like mine in it and turbo that... Those were my original plans but it just never worked out lol.

Is the 2.0L Leganza engine the same like the 2.0L Nubira II one ? Are this VGIS or not ?

the only thing that the leganza engine has is a stroked 2.0l to make it contain 2.2l so if you wanted to put the leganze engine in there it should be the same mounts as what you have in there. I am not sure becuase I have never seen a 1.6 nubi.

very nice car man... it is simple and clean.

concerning the engine swap: indeed you can swap in a 2.0 engine or a 2.2, the 2.0 and 2.2 engines got the same engine mount setup as your 1.6 DOHC so it is a direct fit.

knowing that the C20LET and C20XE are a direct drop in a lanos then those two engines won't fit the nubi due to the different engine mount setup.

the 2.0 and 2.2 got no VGIS but it got enough torque that it doesn't need it... only problem you might face is the oil pan as i think the one in the 2.0 nubira is differnt than the 2.0 leganza engine and also the aluminum "hand palm" part as we call it here, this part is different on the 1.6 and 2.0 engine and it is not the same part on the leganza engine.

actually we did that very same project on zikas' 1.6 nubira and it is currently the first 2.0 nubira in the country... not only that; we have managed to turbo the 2.0 and topped up to 197 HP and 6.7 0-100 km. you can read all about that in the engine swap post and the turbo post in the following links:

http://www.daewootech.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5171

http://www.daewootech.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6536

we have also the same projectors you got but we painted the interior reflectors in black... here is the details:

enjoy ;)

Thanks a lot MMamdouh - as allways you're comming with very useful info :smt023

I think the best choice is to find a Leganzza engine - over here the only Leganza sold are those with 2.0L .

Nubira 2, now with Xenon HIDs

Post by dinoc »

On short beam I have installed a H1 Xenon HID kit.

Short beam only (H1 Xenon HIDs) + parking lights:

Now, short beam + high beams (remember, the short beam stays ON while the long beam is ON).
By the way, on long beam I have regular H1 Philips VisionPlus bulbs.

Am from the Philippines and I own a Daewoo Racer EFI
1990 model. My fuse box including the left side of my
dashboard and all the electrical wirings under it got
burned. I need help badly for a service manual so I
can restore and make it run again.
