A Milestone...

Post by BosnianLanos »

As predicted, my 1999 Lanos SX finally passed 200,000 miles (320,000 km). It's been 8 years, ample problems, an accidental hydrolock, but all this mileage was achieved on the original A16DMS Motor and 4T40-E transmission. Just goes to show that even with a little bit of weekend care, even "unreliable" cars can go forever. Not to mention go like hell...

Showing the massive bug genocide it commited on the 150 mile drive from UF in Gainesville. Average speed on the interstate was a little under 90 mph (145 kph).

And the proof, 200,621 miles on the clock. It passed the 200K mark back in April, but I just got the car back a few days ago.

Now you have proof! Anyone says that Daewoo is a bad car, direct them to these pics!

congrats man... very nice work.

so far i got feedback from Adam (AKA woo_sleeper) that his 1.5 SOHC went up to 500k kms... now the engine neededa full built up but still 500k kms out of a 1.5 SOHC that was driven hard and turboed as well is a great accompleshment.

now i guess we silenced all whom clames that those cars are not reliable once and for all.
