just thought i would post up about my little 8v turbo
started its life out of a cavalier 2.0
stripped down to nothing and rebuilt with the following
new rods ( steel )
new shells
new forged pistons
custom cam
custom inlet
custom exhust manifold
paddle clutch
top end rebuild
nice big turbo
all in a astra mk2
heres a pic of it
then we had a little miss hap with the fueling and melted 3 of the 4 pistons but 32psi and a a/f of 12.0 dead it didnt like a 2 mile flat out run but it was ok on 1/4 mile runs
so got it home had a set of cast pistons sitting here to finish of the rest of the year we decided to bung them in and see what it would do
as it stands now
its the 2nd fastest fwd vauxhall in the uk
and the fastest 8v turbo in the uk the only other person thats close to my record is my brother with his ( but i did build it
) and in the last few months of killing engines we have finally got it right
as it stands so far
2nd fastest fwd vauxhall in the uk
1st mk2 astar to hit the 11`s ( a few months ago )
1st mk2 astra to hit the 10`s
fastest 8v turbo in the uk
this is all in a little 8v turbo
we are well happy this year with the car and theres more to come from it we think
