Wow I like those pistons. Altho 8:1.... might be a little soggy/weaksauce off boost lol. But you can compensate with more boost so its all good :) That GT28RS turbo is top notch, I'm sure you won't be dissapointed with it. Can I ask how much it cost and how much boost and whp you plan on having? I was also considering that turbo for my project, but ended up going with the T3/T4. Keep us updated with progress please.

Yeah im a bit worried too... taking 1.5 out of the compression ratio... but the workshop that's throwing it together reckons it wont be "too bad" and that we can advance the timing a bit off boost so its not total weak sauce  But the extra volume and when it comes on boost should make her scream like crazy!

http://www.nissansilvia.com/forums/Unbe ... 66617.html $1395AU delivered to my door - which after A LOT of research I found was unbeatable :smt023 http://www.horsepowerinabox.com for teh win! I got a universal water and oil lines kit with longer hoses too for a bit more.

The Disco Potato with this turbine AR should be an excellent match for strong numbers on the 1.5L. Should be good for quick-ish spool and then a very strong boost curve which is what im after more than anything.

As for a whp goal.... i'm not sure... I don't care so much about making xxx whp, but the feel of the boost curve and how much fun it is to drive.

The little built 1.5L SOHC should be up for making a bit though! So probably double the standard whp - maybe a bit more with a good tune? So somewhere around 120-150whp...Nothing to sneeze at for a 1.5L!

But again i dont have any "power goals" in mind. My goal is to see how far the 1.5L SOHC engine can go safely and reliably since no one has a comprehensively worked the A15SMS engine!

Thanks for the kind words! I'm getting an itchy right foot ;)

very nice work man.

you can compasate for the lost compression by shaving the head a bit... right? say get it up to 8.5:1 as most turbo engines, i don't know how much you should shave though.

what plans do you have for clutch? i recon the OEM one won't hold the power levels now.

I had a heavy duty one custom made before the rings wore out. It has done a few thousand kms if that...

Nubira2.2 ...... please tone down the "your gay" and "niggah" comments.... I realize your joking around but that doesn't change anything as far as I'm concerned.

I belive in freedom of speech but I also belive that your might be offending others.

Both of these "racist" remarks would not be tollerated within a free society such as the USA and Canada.... and I assume PR falls in line with US laws which allow for legal action against individuals saying stuff like this.

Just because we allow you to say what you want, it doesn't mean you should.

I'm proud that we don't sensor specific words like other forums.... but that option is just a click of a button away in the Administration panel.

Please don't put me in the position where I feel I have to edit your posts and add sensor words.

Regards.... Chris
