Forenza/reno/optra/nubira headers

Post by kinkyllama »

I think few of you know but I recently started a business called "Kinky Motorsports". For now I'm focusing on the forenza/reno/optra but will be getting into other woo's once I get lots of stuff out for the forenza. I dont want to get ahead of myself and I already work far more hours than I should so it's one thing at a time. It'll be a little while before I have a website up but for the meantime I made a myspace(www.myspace.com/kinkymotorsports).

I've been working on n/a headers for some time and finally one is done. We're still trying to setup a dyno to finish the testing and whatnot but pictures will be posted by the weeks end. The price is looking to be $330 but it's not solid yet...either way it'll stay under $400usd. They come with a new heat shield with an "S" stamped on it for the suzuki models and come with a special coating to try to keep heat down in the engine bay and up in the exhaust (helps flow). The first sets are going on ebay since about 5 people came to me within 5 mins of posting on suzuki-forums.com. The headers are going to come with a 5 year warranty against the welds. I'll give some more info as I post pics and dyno results.

We're also in the process of making test pipes (to replace the main CAT) and a very very special cat-back exhaust for the forenza/reno/optra using a totally different kind of design. However I won't be saying anymore about the cat-back untill it's done.

Also if intrest is there we can make something for the leganza and other cars after were finished with the test pipes, and cat-back.

Cheers!

I shoulda been more accurate...this will only fit the nubira 2.0l.

Though I'd like to make something up for the 1.6...is the lanos, nubira, and aveo 1.6 all the same as far as headers would go? If thats the case I'll probably be intrested in doing something.

Dyno should be done at the very end of this week then I'll be taking orders unless we change something. Then were starting on the test pipes and cat-backs.

Can someone tell me the difference between the leggy and forenza headers? Isn't it just the leggy needs more clearance from the oil pan?

Okay...but I dont have my forenza right now. Long story short, tranny died, getting an F28, about 6 sellers stopped messaging me back, finally got one and am trying to work out details, hopfully I'll have it within a 10 days, then need to find a shop (sent out emails to a few that should be able to do it). Though I might have one for pictures and for when I get my forenza running. If so I'll let you know.

I dont know...I'd like to make up some really really nice turbo manifolds. I was gonna make one for myself so I figured I'd have a few extra done.

header flange

Post by gse_turbo »

if it makes things move faster, i can offer up the totally choice header flange that i programmed for the one i started for me. it's in DXF and DWG so anyone shop can cut it or buy one cut from me in 1/2" stainless.

i should have made that more clear, i have the flange in stainless for turbo applications as well as mild steel for "all motor' applications.
