i think its possible to remove the pulleys... there is a rubber liner that holds them on to the " pipe " like thing connected to the gear

i was originally going to have the pulleys pulled off and a aluminum pully slipped back over.. make it a few pounds lighter

another thing that could be done. cut the gear off and tape 4 studs into it and atach a aluminum pulley that way

Well guys I'm backing out of this buy and any buys. I'm trading in the Aveo for a Cobalt. There is just so much more for the Cobalt than the Aveo. After a year out and still nothing for the AVEO. I can do sooooo much more with the 2.2 ecotec engine. Sorry guys

Make that 2. I finally decided to stop modifying my car... it's pointless. I don't take it to the track, and it isn't getting much faster. I'll just get a new car that is actually fast when I graduate from college ;). For now I'm in a large debt... sorry guys.

well back to the main subject. Tom do you think that the lanos UD pulley can work with the one with the aveo or not?

Howabout this... The real benefit is the decreased weight of the pulley. Why not make the replacement the stock size, just much lighter? This way you can sell it cheaper by saving the $10 for the belt.

Well I know people will hate me, but I couldn't get the price and financing I wanted for the Cobalt. SO I am keeping the Aveo. So I am in this group buy (For a pulley for the Aveo)

Sorry for late reply guys. I was with Erfinder in Montana visiting WooHoo :)

Anywho, we still want to go ahead with the pulleys. The Aveo one will be implemented as soon as we have 5 confirmed people. Same with the Lanos.

How much would it cost for the prototype since no one else is buying an Aveo one.
