I have one for about 4 years brand new sitting in my storage shed, the issue is adapting it as you need the shifter cable setup, setting up mounts, modified axles.

Now that there are some chev cruze in the autowreckers it should be easier to come by the extra parts to make it work

what car uses that M32 transmission? is it manual or automatic? I'm not in the market for one, just curious.

I wouldn't say that at all. it just hasn't been done yet. the only unknown is what axle set to use. there are a ton of Daewoo's out there with a wide range of interchange, there is bound to be something available that will make it a direct swap. Daewoo, Opel, GM, whoever you want to give the credit, has kept the production line basically the same for over 20 years, I can't see them completely reinventing things just for the Cruze or Sonic.

Thanks. Trust me, if it hasn't been done, i am not the one that is going to do it for the first time!! I just wondered if it was a direct replacement. Mine is still working fine, fortunately. In fact over the past year I have not even had any of those epidodes of my automatic transmission "clunking", shifting very aggressively in lower speeds, which was happening before and some other owners have described. I don't understand what changed or what has happened, but it hasn't happened for well over a year. the only thing that has changed has been a routine timing belt, pulley, water pump change and a Camshaft Position Sensor change. I don't know if it could have been something to do with that Camshaft sensor, but it's the only thing that hadn't been done on the car before. Whatever the reason, I'm not going to question it as everythign seems to be working!!
