Ok, this sounds like a few things but i would look towards replacing your fuel filter and putting some gas /injector cleaner through it.. even if you have to idle it for to use the tank or so etc.. just try that also make sure there is nothing restricting airflow on the intake, and use some tb intake cleaner and clean the butterfly plate on the intake.

It sits on the firewall, pretty much dead in the middle. Look in the how to for a "relieving fuel pressure" article for a good explanation.

Also, there is a how-to on replacing the filter

Well if u think the problem is from the EGR for sure, then start ur engine and try to press on the buttom side of the EGR (that is the valve) when u press it the car will seems to stop but dont let it stop, just press on it all the way up and fast some couple of times untill the car can accelerate, im sure this will help u a lil just untill u change the EGR, what happen by pressing is just taking the dirt partly out of the EGR.

not all of them... i found some with electrical and some with penumatic but here in egyypt all are using the penumatic type.

when we got the T20SED it had electrical one and we swapped it with the penumatic from the 1.6 engine.

If you let it idle till the engine is fully warm does it still cut out as soon as you press the throttle? Does it respond by blipping the throttle several times very fast?

if i try start the car with the throttle all the way down its making a deep noise as if theres no air filter on it, for about a second then cuts out :(

i was told prior to the car breaking down it had lost alot of power, only did max speed of 50 MPH and there was lierally no 1st or 2nd gear..

is there any sort of scan u can do yourself to maybe get an idea of whats wrong :(

thanks alex
