Intake temp mod
Hey, I just got this thing off of ebay, and I can find where it goes. It's a little u-shaped wire with this piece of plastic in the middle and goes in the (ATI)? I think that's what it is. But I don't know where it is. This mod makes the engine think it's taking in cool air. Please help me out if you know, thanks
Robert

Here you have the instalation method by daewootech.net www.daewootech.net/store/aitchipinst.htm
I have ordered the same thing from daewootech.net but Chris is sending me the chips (I've ordered 10, for my friends).

And does it look a lot like one of these?
I really hope you did not waste your money on it.
All this guy does is send a resistor that costs him about 2 cents in bulk.
Installing this on your call will:
A) Make your car slower
B) Make your car get worse gas mileage
C) Clog the oxygen sensor and make you have to get a new one too soon
D) Make your Check Engine light come on (not always, but usually)

The Chocolate Chip is great IF you have an after market intake & exhaust. The chip fools the AITS controller to think it is always cold outside, and gives the engine a richer gas/air mixture. If you have a stock intake & exhaust, you will be running very rich with the engine not getting enough air. This will make the gas mileage go down faster than it should. BUT you will see better performance, though not as good as it would be with a new intake & exhaust.Maximus wrote:And what about the Daewootech.net chocolatte chip, is it a good thing
I have one & the differance was noticable immediately, but since I still have a stock intake & exhaust, my car was drinking gas.
The Chocolate Chip is specifically made to do what it is supposed to and does it well.
I have thought about wiring my Chocolate Chip with a 2 position switch inside my car so I can flip the switch & turn the Chocolate Chip on & off right from the driver's seat.
ON = performance
OFF = stock operation
