Neutral to Drive

Post by Vivek »

Is it bad to rev up the engine in neutral and then just switch to drive with the gas still being pressed in?(automatic Lanos) What, if any, are the consequences?

It all depends on what rpm you engage D at. If you rev to say 3.5K and engage D it wont kill it. It'll accellerate the wear on the tranny, just as anything else when you make it work harder.
