Help - air conditioning quit working. Any ideas?

Post by TheGreatAndPowerfulOz »

2001 Leganza SE, 40866 miles

A few days ago, the AC was running and we heard what sounded almost like running water or or a waterfall sort of sound from somewhere behind the dash.

This lasted for 10 - 15 minutes.

After that the AC no longer blew cold.

Any ideas? Should I just take it to a Daewoo service center or should I take it to a place that specializes in car air conditioning?

Go to an especialist, Daewoo S.C. No repair the a/c, they send the car to another place(a a/c specialist), so do this you and go directly. 8)

It has manual A/C controls.

I think the concendor leaked where it was repaired.

Last summer, my girlfriend was driving my car to work and hit a deer.

The A/C condensor had to be repaired because the shop could not get a new one during the time Daewoo parts were hard to get.

I may need to get another condensor if they can not repair it again.

The car will be going to an A/C specialist for a full service inspection to find out exactly what happened.

Pedro Diaz is who we could not get to return our phone calls about getting the parts for my father's Lanos when it was wrecked in this thread:
