No Power In Gear

Post by tstilley »

Hello,
I was given a Daewoo Lanos that had no power in gear. Scanned for codes and only got back that the EGR valve was bad. Replaced and got rid of code but still no power in gear (car idled fine). Replaced plugs and still nothing. Replaced plug wires and still nothing. Replaced coil pack and now car won't fire. I even tried putting old coil back on and get same result no fire. Any ideas? I can hear fuel pump kicking on and all fuses seem to be ok. What did I do? Lol!

Car will only accelerate to about 10 MPH and coolant temperature seems to be running hot.

No coolant loss. Any ideas on why car will not start after coil was replaced? Will not start with old coil either even though it started and idled fine before I changed it. Plug wires are new and connected properly. Also, coolant temp is fine when car was idling. Seem to run hot in drive.
