Head gasket

Post by trentlane87 »

Hi

Just wondering if anyone knows whether it will be ok that when doing my head gasket on my Daewoo Lanos I tightened the head bolts up, then had to undo them and re tighten them again because I didn't realize I had to put the camshaft in the cam box at the same time, will this be a problem? hope not :( couldn't be stuffed pulling it apart again I was just worried it may have effected the head gasket.

Thanks.

I see nobody's giving reply, so let me give it a shot. I THINK it would probably be fine as long as there is no dirt/water/oil on it when you refit. Although i wouldn't take the chance of re-doing it later on for that small amount of money.
