Daewoo Lanos 1.6 16V SX Hydraulic Lifters missing

Post by erikdw »

Hi all,

I am relieved to have found a forum for Daewoo owners, it been a battle trying to get help from the dealers and spare part resellers here in South Africa. My mechanic who is redoing the cylinder head has lost my hydraulic lifters and now I am trying to get new ones so I can get my Lanos going again. The problem with sourcing new hydraulic lifters is that according to spare parts dealer there are two different types listed and I need a sample. What I can understand is that the two different type of lifters are same in dimensions but one has a larger hole (which I presume is for the oil to pass through) then the other.

Can anyone please assist me with a hand sketch of what this part for the Lanos 1.6 16V SX 3 Door hatch must look like?

Thanks,
Erik

I find only one ref in parts manual as 96184997. And another one while browsing the net 96376400.
Can't say you if both can fit.
Check with http://www.koraps.com/ .

Why not just mandating your mechanic to solve his problem?
