no, pistons are the same.
the only difference between the 2 engines is the length of the stroke

+1

The pistons are different between the Opel and Daewoo. If I'm not mistaken there is a difference between the 2.0 and 2.2, I think it's a bore or compression height difference. That being said you would have to compare the Daewoo 2.0 and 2.2 before moving forward. I could be wrong on my previos statement, if I am and the two Daewoo pistons are the same then move forward with the X20 pistons.

If I remember correctly the X20 is 10.5:1 (or 11.0:1) and the T22 is 9.5:1 so you're not gonna see a huge power gain. If the pistons are inexpensive it would be a good idea. Other things can play a big part in making more power just by making the engine more efficient.
I would suggest lightening the crank and flywheel and balancing all the rotating assembly. Also, lightening the connecting rods and modifying them and the pistons to a floating wrist pin will help.

If youre interested I have lot of modified T22 parts for sell, like the lightened crank and modified rods. I may also have X20XEV cams to sell but they won't be available for a few weeks, they're being spec'd out by a remanufacturer for future modified cams. Once their done I can sell them.

Haha. Yeah. I've been floating in and out here and there I just haven't been able to set aside the time to get involved like I want to be.
