Fuel Pumps

Post by jd daewoo »

Does anyone know if the fuel pump on a Daewoo Nubira will fit on a Daewoo Lanos. I know the pressures are slightly different (+/- 5psi) but will it cause that much of a problem (ECM, etc.). I've tried to cross reference the Lanos fuel pump, but have came up empty handed. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Even if its a complete different make of car (such as the Chevy Aveo, which won't work, it's fine with me. I live near a massive salvage yard and would like to find a compatible spare for cheap, you know, for those days when your out in the middle of no where and your pump gives you the finger... :)

HELP!!!

The leganza pump should be the same as the lanos. The nubira pump might work but no promises...

Even if shape and pressure could be the same for complete units, fuel pumps have different fuel level sensors as described in technical service bulletins TSB-004-01 & TSB-005-01.
You might consider changing pump motor only.
Parts Information:
Vehicle Part Name Part Number
Lanos Fuel Level Sensor 96388929
Nubira Fuel Level Sensor 96388676
Leganza Fuel Level Sensor 96405140
Note: Fuel Level Sensor units are not interchangeable between models.

The nubira pump worked great, however the fuel level gauge is reading incorrect as expected. But I can easily change it out with the old OEM Lanos pump that went bad. See TSB 004-01 as suggested by a fellow Daewootech member Daniel.

Thanks!!!
