C20xe c20let z20let uprated oil pump???

Hi everybody. My oil pump might be going on my u20sed. So I was Thinking why not upgrade. I've heard that a z20let pump will work with a modified pick up pipe. What about an uprated pump for the c20xe or c20let? Would that be a direct bolt on for the u20sed? Or are there any other options? Thanks

just be aware of the sump shape compared to yours

unless your car is running sustained high rpm, the stock pump should do fine

Thanks. Well the oil pumps and especially gaskets have been a problem on the u20sed. I have a ported head with stage 2cams and I'll be putting on Itb's in the near future. The less problems the better. I found a few up rates pumps I'm just not sure about compatibility. Wouldn't I just be able to use my own pickup?

I believe it would be much more hassle than it's worth

on that last page it says 16v pump= 8.5 bar max.
on my engine (c20sed) I've only seen a max of ~6 bar

have you removed yours? maybe you can compare it to the pictures

thanks for the links benzino. on quick glance someone mentioned they have the parts i was looking into, a steel gear and new relief valve. ill have to read over it again. (i discovered that you dont need to buy the whole pump they sell just the uprated parts) ill let you know what i find out.
