leganza won't start

Post by arabian49 »

Bought a non running 2000 Leganza with 2.2L and automatic. found excessice amounts of oil in sparkplug hole and plugs themself were oil soaked. Cleaned everything and car fired right up and idled smoothly. (did not drive it). got the gasket set and replaced the valve cover gasket. Started the car and went for test drive. car ran great for about a mile then quit. Got it home and checked for oil leakage found none. Ran a compression check all cylinders were 195 to 200.
Checked fuel pressure it 47PSI. checked spark had none on any cylinder. cranked enginge with plugs out looking for gas smell had none. To me it looks like
no spark and no injecter pulses. Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks for any help.

check the crank position sensor... when those go bad you get no fuel or sparks
