bad o2 sensor . aveo 1.5

Post by nefary »

hi all
i have a strange problem with my aveo
it was raining yesterday while me traveling . i faced a big water spot on the road . i had to go into this spot with full speed . this spot was deep . water hit the car very hard. the water get into the engine through my cold air intake system . and the engine stall and refused to run again

after 10 min , it hardly run , shake then return to work normally . after 10 km the check engine light turned on
after a scan i found the o2 sensor's output is low voltage . check the sensor voltage . it hesitate . from 0 to value then 0 to value like a mad man

my car now is not comfortable , not sensitive and bad fuel consumption

i can't find the oem sensor ( the 1.5 L engine has a two wires o2 sensor found on the header

will the nubira o2 sensor will fit?

water ingestion can cause damage from hydrolocking, especially if you tried to start it after it stalled

hopefully you haven't bent anything...

as for the sensor, you should be able to use any sensor that has two wires
just make sure you check what each wire does before installing
