How much power could i get out of a U20SED if i use X20XER 10.6mm cams and X20XEV 10.5-11 compression ratio pistons or can i use high compression and stock crank and rods but with rod bolts in the stock u20sed with the oem engine computer, i wanna try to get atleast 150-170 horses out of the engine and also it is automatic 4HP16 trans

So i'm thikning this is related to your other thread.... I didn't know you were using auto trans. That will suck up some extra power.... are you looking for 170whp? or 170 crank hp? IMO cams and high compression pistons alone in the U20SED will not be enough to achieve 170hp wheel or crank. You will absolutely need some way to adjust fuel and timing to maximize power.

Can i put adjustable cam gear/gears and a piggy back for the fuel

You can only put one adjustable cam gear in if you are running the stock ECU with a piggyback. I can't remember which one it is, but one of them has a special piece on it to trigger the cam sensor.

the intake is the only one that can use an adjustable gear with the stock ecu.

the exhaust gear has the reluctor built in.

You guys are right i looked at my U20sed that i pulled out of the forenza and the intake doesnt have the special peice ill have to find the one pulley and adjust it is it better to advance the intake timing or retard the intake timing im new to adjusting anything lol how much power would it bring out if i do piggy back and adjust the intake timing thanks guys
